Should a Cal State Fullerton math professor be forced to have his students use $180 textbook, written by his boss?

An article in the Orange County Register described how a professor at Cal State Fullerton is being reprimanded for not using an expensive textbook written by the chair and vice chair of the math department.

Are you a professor? Do you have the freedom to choose your own textbook? What do you think about Cal State Fullerton’s current regulation?
